VIDEOVISION PROFILE
VideoVision Communications was founded as a film production company more than forty years ago. The Company serviced Australian and British television networks with film crews for the production of news and current affairs programs both in Australia and overseas.
In 1978, VideoVision introduced videotape technology with the installation of BVU and 1", then later Betacam formats, and was the first production company in Australia to use portable location crews for electronic news gathering.
VideoVision was a pioneer in linking news stories from location to the Networks via a microwave link for direct on-air coverage.
During the 1980's, VideoVision broadcast program material produced for the TV networks direct from it's Abbotsford Studios in Melbourne to the Station. VideoVision camera crews, editors and producers came to be regarded as amongst the best in the country.
The company is highly regarded for its corporate communication productions and has accumulated numerous awards for creative cinematography excellence, including the worldwide Golden Reel Award, achieved for our Carlton United Breweries training video and first place at the U.S. Film and Video Festival for our Lactos Marketing Video.
In all areas of its operations, VideoVision aims to lead the way in the industry, to be innovative and flexible enough to handle changing markets and technologies, giving its clients the best possible product and service that they have come to expect from a professional visual communications company.
In 2006, VideoVision expanded its operations with the introduction of an office in Brisbane to further service its clients, and to develop new business relationships in one of the fastest growing regions in Australia.
